About The Parable Lab

The Parable Lab is a creative studio for projects that explore the finger of God hidden inside ordinary lives.

Some projects, like The Unnamed Ones, imagine the emotional worlds surrounding the unnamed people in The Bible. Others — like Saints&Scenarios Card Game and our collection of children’s coloring books— invite stillness, humor, and honest conversation through connection with scripture.

The Parable Lab exists to connect people to the living Word of God.

We create stories, art, and experiences that invite people to encounter The Bible with fresh eyes. By blending imagination with historical context, we help readers, players, and learners discover why The Bible is still the best selling book in human history.

We build bridges between timeless truth and everyday life; for the child just beginning to wonder, and the adult who never stopped.

Meet The Founder

Hi! I’m Jess.

Jessy to my parents and sisters, Boo to my husband (aka bestie: male category), and Mama to my tiny human. She is my best work yet.

In other spaces, I am Dr. Puri: a college professor and a writer who doesn’t mind getting onto the road of uncomfortable conversations if there is meaning along the way.

Above all, I am a child of God, a sister and friend to Jesus, and a home for the Holy Spirit— one that is still under construction.
